Fall and Winter Season

Oh my goodness, Time has just flown on by. Only 16 days until Christmas! Is everyone decorating and out Christmas shopping?? I know one thing for sure....traffic is awful!
Anyways, just wanted to update everyone on some fun events that have happened over the last few months.

Color Me Rad Run: 5K
This fun, colorful run took place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the race benefited the Speedway Children's Charities This is a great description of the run: "The Color Bombs start flying at 9 am with waves of runners getting plastered with paint every 5 minutes after. You'll end up looking like a kindergarten art class gone wrong... but the Art of Running will make you feel oh so right!" (Colormeradrun.com)

                                                                  It sure was a blast!!

Thanksgiving:
This Thanksgiving was different than all of the rest. Matt's grandma came to visit and spoiled us rotten! Dinner consisted of: My homemade Chili,  corn bread, green bean casserole, salad, and for dessert...chocolate fondue!
Like I said...VERY untraditional! However, we really had a good time and it was fun doing some cooking.

Black Friday:
Matt and I definitely did some shopping this year. We waited in line until Kohls opened at midnight and managed to shop the morning away until 3:30am. And....I had to be at work at 8am. However, we had a great time and saved over $500!

This Christmas Matt and I are off to NYC baby!! oh yeah! I am looking forward to some VERY cold weather and hopefully a white Christmas. We are very excited :)

This season, Enjoy all of the wonderful flavors and smells of the delicious foods being served. Just remember one little word to help you get through the Holiday season without gaining 10lbs (or more) .......MODERATION.

It is the word I live by when it comes to food....When serving yourself, just put a little spoonful of all the yummy options on your plate. That way you can taste everything, but you are not having a full serving. Enjoy the people you are sharing the season with and just remember to slooooowwww down. We are all in a hurry this time of year, but take time to help others, enjoy the moments, and most of all....take your time to EAT!

Till next time: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,
Julie
